About Gravitas Press

Few people have the good fortune of making a living doing exactly what they want. I’m one of those people.
For fifteen years, I was principal of Gravitas Press (formerly inCredible Messages), a boutique nonfiction publishing firm I founded. My team and I had the privilege of guiding individuals to achieve their dream of publishing a book.
Every one of our clients had a story to tell. We learned of their adventures and risks, their successes and failures, their laughter and their tears.
The honor of learning from these individuals was the gift of a lifetime. My retirement in 2025 was bittersweet.
Gravitas Press published books by people with a broad swath of life experiences. Our niche clients were CEOs, entrepreneurs, and high-level executives as well as the business and personal coaches who support those executives. Sample titles include Reluctantly Resilient by Chrissy Myers, Farm Boy in the Fast Lane by John Gilliland, and Gourmet Leadership by Carolyn Maue.
Some titles we published were more specific to professional and financial success to aspiring professionals. Sample titles include Relationships Matter by Rosina Racioppi, A Man Is Not a Plan by Mary Grace Musuneggi, and “Do No Harm” Applies to Nurses Too by Renee Thompson.
Our authors were amazing people who enriched my life by their integrity, resilience, and faith. It was especially meaningful to publish two books that deal directly with faith-related topics. Discovering the Good Father is Allen Joines’s beautiful testimony of a broken life touched by God. Becoming Yourself by Jack Hoey is an insightful study of Christian character.
My book, Ebenezer Chronicles: The Missing Spiritual Practice, may serve as a sort of swan song for Gravitas Press. It’s hard to say there won’t be another book ever. For now, though, I’m closing the door to Gravitas Press and opening the door to more informal ways of helping people tell their stories.
If there’s one thing I learned over my career, it’s that we all have a story to tell, and every story deserves to be told. Speak up, please. The world is listening.
